Bill Butler is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to Corporex Companies, LLC. Since 1965, Bill has been the driving force behind the growth of the Corporex Companies, from a one-man construction shop to diversified real estate company with more than $1 billion of real estate assets. From its humble beginnings as the W.P. Butler Construction Company, Corporex has grown into a diversified, vertically-integrated real estate firm comprising Corporex Development and Construction Management, Commonwealth Hotels, Five Seasons Sports Clubs, Corporex Realty and Investment and Corporex Capital. Additionally, Bill sponsored the formation of Eagle Hospitality Properties Trust where he was Chairman of the Board from inception in 2004 through its sale in 2007. Bill is dedicated to community service and fiduciary responsibility to shareholders. He founded The Butler Foundation and Life Learning Center, which provide community services in Greater Cincinnati. In addition, he currently serves or has served on the boards of United Way of Greater Cincinnati, the Dan Beard Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Lindner Center of Hope, the Metropolitan Club, the Catalytic Development Funding Corporation of Northern Kentucky, Bexion Pharmaceuticals, and Roebling Capital Partners. He is a multi-level member of United Way’s Million Dollar Roundtable; and the Alexis de Tocqueville Society. Bill has been actively involved in the acquisition, development, construction and financing of major real estate properties for over 57 years. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.
