Christine Russell, ULI Cincinnati District Council Chair
It is with both sadness and excitement that I write to you today to let you know that Lydia Jacobs-Horton has informed us that she will be leaving her role at ULI Cincinnati. The sadness is because we will greatly miss Lydia’s leadership and dedication to our District Council. The excitement is because she has built an amazing foundation on which we can continue to build on ULI Cincinnati’s position as the region’s thought leader on land use and community growth.
Over five years ago, a group of ULI Cincinnati leaders developed a bold plan to build the capacity and reputation of our volunteer-led organization by hiring our first paid Executive Director. We were extremely fortunate to bring Lydia into that role and our District Council has benefitted tremendously from her vision and passion over the past four years.
We are now asking for your help in finding ULI Cincinnati’s next Director. We are looking for a proven leader with a strong working knowledge of both the Cincinnati real estate community and ULI Cincinnati. This is a part-time position with salary and benefits plus schedule flexibility and prominent community visibility. They will work closely with our Committees and District Council Coordinator Kim Fantaci. Please share this job description with your network and think of people you know who may be good candidates. I am available to talk to anyone who would like more information or is interested in applying for the position. Resumes should be submitted to me at [email protected] by April 16th.
As we embark on the next phase of our organization’s growth, I want to thank each of you for being a member of ULI Cincinnati. I look forward to both celebrating Lydia’s accomplishments and welcoming our next Director together with all of you in the coming months.
