A Philadelphia-based commercial real estate developer with an office in Cincinnati has named a new executive for its Ohio operations.
Geoff Milz has joined Pennrose as director of development for the Ohio region, the developer announced Wednesday. He will be tasked with leading and growing Pennrose’s development pipeline in Ohio and will manage all aspects of the real estate development process.
Before joining Pennrose, Milz served Colerain Township as township administrator, assistant township administrator and planning director, according to a news release. He has also worked for the city of Covington as the development manager and as a senior planner for Cayuga County in New York.
“Geoff’s deep local roots and experience in Ohio will enhance Pennrose’s ability to deliver much needed affordable housing to the area,” Tom Anderson, senior vice president at Pennrose, said in a release. “His leadership and collaboration skills make him a natural fit with our organization and the Ohio team.”
In July 2017, Pennrose opened an office in Blue Ash. Then in June 2019, the commercial real estate developer moved to Over-the-Rhine. Its offices are in the Spaces coworking space in Cincinnati Center City Development Corp.’s 15th & Vine building at 1435 Vine St.
Pennrose is co-owner of the John Arthur Flats, an apartment complex being marketed as senior affordable housing for LGBT people, alongside Northsiders Engaged in Sustainable Transformation. The apartment complex, located at 4145 Apple St., held its grand opening Monday.
Pennrose also recently opened HaNoBe at Linden Square, a 171-unit mixed-use lifestyle community in College Hill.
“I am excited to join the experienced and dedicated team at Pennrose,” Milz said in a release. “I have followed the company’s success in transforming neighborhoods and am excited to now be a part of supporting the Pennrose mission of providing high-quality, affordable housing throughout Ohio.”
Geoff Milz is the co-chair of ULI Cincinnati’s Regional Product Council and serves on the organization’s Management Committee.
