ULI Cincinnati has dedicated their 2022 18 Hour City Series to assist with the implementation of the recommendations that came out of the 2021 How Transit Oriented Development Can Build a Better Cincinnati TAP Report. Through a series of panel discussions and interactive conversations, the organization will develop implementation outlines and next steps for the best-in-class principles that came from the Technical Assistance Panel assembled in 2021. These will be used for smart, equitable, sustainable strategies supporting the creation of TOD policies that promote growth in the City of Cincinnati and the region.
During this third session, panelists will explain that Community Development Corporations exist at the heart of the conversation for developing neighborhoods with a strong community focus throughout Cincinnati. CDCs can act on a community's behalf to secure and hold sites, work with stakeholders to identify and implement community vision, and secure gap financing to help assemble the needed capital to get projects underway. It's because of these reasons that increased funding and capacity for CDCs is critical and the conversation of how to get this done will take place.
