CINCINNATI, OH – Urban Land Institute (“ULI”) Cincinnati announces Lydia Jacobs-Horton will start as Executive Director effective July 14, 2017. This is a pivotal moment for the professional real estate organization. Until now, the group has been led solely by volunteers, but with the newly-created position, ULI Cincinnati plans to elevate the awareness of the group and its service to the community.
“With Lydia’s guidance, we anticipate ULI having an even greater impact on our region. She brings with her an incredible track record of leadership in the real estate sector,” said Steve Kenat, ULI Cincinnati’s District Council Chair. “She is the quintessential real estate leader, and we’re honored to have her on board.”
Jacobs-Horton previously served as Director, Global Facilities & Real Estate for Procter & Gamble, where she was recognized internally and externally for global strategy and the industry’s largest partnerships. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Real Estate at the University of Cincinnati.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to work with ULI Cincinnati and the national organization to engage strong programming, grow our District Council and establish our members as expert resources for initiatives most critical to the community,” said Jacobs-Horton.
The new role was created after substantial strategic planning for ULI Cincinnati. “Our Advisory Board has been preparing for this move for several years and is now in a position to implement our plan. We are fortunate that Lydia’s passion has aligned with ULI’s strategy to better impact the built environment, invest in young professionals, advance programs, and enhance connections to national resources,” said Kenat.
