ULI Cincinnati awards grant for Building Healthy Places initiative

The Building Healthy Places committee of ULI Cincinnati is proud to announce that the Center for Great Neighborhoods of Covington, Inc. will be the recipient of a grant award  – a ULI Cincinnati Technical Assistance Program Grant. The TAP was awarded  to a community organization seeking insight and recommendations as it relates to  real estate development issues, from a pool of six regional community organization applicants.

As communities face pressing health challenges related to the built environment, ULI and its members have been active players in discussions and projects that make the link between human health and development. Specifically, the launch of the ULI Building Healthy Places Initiative at a forum event in March built upon that work with a multifaceted discussion on how we can shape projects and places in ways that improve the health of people and communities.

TAPs can provide expert, local knowledge on what the market can actually support.

Over the coming weeks, the Committee will meet with the winner, select TAP panel members, and set a date for  the Panel.  For more information, see Building Healthy Places.
