This event hosted by ULI Cincinnati’s Young Leaders Group will dive into the complexities of how Cincinnati's iconic BLINK experience comes to life. It will explore the two crucial pillars of the event's success: the meticulous execution of large-scale urban art installations and the powerful community engagement that makes BLINK a nowhere else city-wide celebration.

Destinee Thomas with Cincy Nice and Megyn Norbut with No Standing will share their insights and experience.

Participants will learn how the visionary ideas of BLINK are seamlessly integrated into the cityscape, requiring precise coordination between location selection and the physical logistics of execution. This includes navigating the complexities of permitting with Cincinnati's building and engineering departments, ensuring that every installation is both safe and impactful.

BLINK is not just an event; it's a community-driven experience. Hear how the event fosters collaboration across diverse groups, from the Curatorial Advisory Committee and local art educators to residents and artists with related projects. We'll discuss the strategies used to bring these groups together, support symbiotic events happening concurrently, and ensure broad participation, including the iconic BLINK parade. This session will highlight the importance of inclusivity and community in creating an event that truly reflects the spirit of Cincinnati.

Join us on October 8 for an illuminating discussion that showcases how BLINK's blend of artistic vision and community collaboration makes it one of the most anticipated events in the city.
