Building Momentum: The History and Future of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) in Cincinnati
After Cincinnati opened its first modern streetcar in 2016, development surged around the line. Since then, support has been growing for both better transit services and proactive planning of Transit Oriented Development (TOD). The momentum is palpable, from a new sales tax levy passing in 2020 to fund the creation of Cincinnati’s first Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lines, to major progress in creating Cincy’s 34-mile trail loop (The CROWN), to historic investments in the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor, to the City passing a major zoning initiative in 2024 to create more housing around transit corridors and business districts (Connected Communities), Cincinnati has made big strides in the realm of TOD. Join us for a ULI Cincinnati hosted panel of some of the region’s foremost experts on TOD to talk about past successes, present challenges, and where they envision the future of TOD heading in Cincinnati.
Panelists:
Sharyn Lacombe, AICP, ENV SP, Senior Director of BRT Planning & Design, Metro
Scott Enns, Senior Manager of Capital & TOD Projects, Metro

Following the panel, Model Group will lead the group in a tour around the neighborhood, highlighting some of their hugely successful projects.
