Boom(er) Bust: Discussion on Intergenerational Hiring Practices on March 25 we are bringing together two diverse groups, one to represent those looking for work and one comprised of senior leaders representing those hiring. Moderated by
Susan Branscome, Managing Director of Cincinnati’s NorthMarq office and host and creator of the podcast, LeadingShe, this panel will provide scenarios experienced by many as well as answers to questions participants may have regarding today’s intergenerational hiring practices.
Included on the panel will be
Christopher Bennett, an entrepreneur and investor committed to creating wealth-building opportunities for underprivileged and underrepresented. He is the co-founder and manager of Bendav Properties LLC, a real estate holding company focused on the acquisition and development of income-producing commercial properties. Joining Christopher will be
Felicia Bell, owner of Trinity Investment Solutions, LLC and a Realtor with Coldwell Banker West Shell. She is a real estate investor who invests in distressed single and multi-family properties in the Greater Cincinnati area for rentals and wholesale deals.
Senior leaders on the panel will include
David Kirk, President and CEO of DNK and
Angel Beets, Co-Managing Partner of Gilman Partners. David will bring the panel more than 33 years of diverse architectural experience with public and private clients and of that having served more than 27 years as president/principal of DNK with hiring and leadership responsibilities. Angel has worked for public relations firms in Indianapolis, Chicago and the Greater Cincinnati area and has experience in marketing/communication, higher education and training. Her background helps to prepare high-potential leaders for executive roles.

This session, moderated by Peg Moertl, Trustee with Cincinnati Development Fund and presented by Arlene Koth, Senior Consultant with OPC Consulting will discuss how common perceptions, policies and practices may be unintentionally perpetuating inequities in your industry and/or workplace, and how you can begin identifying them and actually doing something to change them. This session will not provide you with a silver bullet or a big red easy button, but it will help you take necessary actions to begin making sustainable changes to your industry and/or workplace culture.

August 26, 2021: Building a Positive Work Culture
How does building a positive workplace culture, especially one that integrates women and people of color, benefit the bottom line? Mayerson is a thought leader in how organizations can create great places to learn and work and Adelyn Hall, LEED AP ND, Director of School-Centered Neighborhood Development with the Community Learning Center Institute will moderate this session as Dr. Jillian Coppley, President & CEO with Mayerson Academy explains how Mayerson establishes this thought leadership. Dr. Coppley will also present best practices for building a positive work culture, one that is inclusive to a diverse staff and that results in growth and retention over time.
