Brown Bag Lunch: Construction Cost Trending
The construction market has seen a dramatic shift over the last couple years. The industry is moving forward at a fast pace but is challenged by limited resources: contractors that left the industry during the recession, contractors that reduced their size and capabilities during the recession and now cannot scale quick enough, and the lack of a readily available skilled workforce to match the demand. The ULI Cincinnati Construction Cost Trending Brown Bag Lunch will focus discussion on the national construction market landscape, the effects the market has on cost, current forecast of our regional construction market, and our ability to manage through it all.
Our speaker, Ted Boeckerman is a Regional Preconstruction Manager with Turner. Ted joined Turner in 2005 and has since held leadership positions throughout most of his tenure, including special projects division manager, and preconstruction manager of the Cincinnati office. Currently in his statewide role as preconstruction manager, Ted and his team are able to ensure that each project is staffed with the optimal mix of local market knowledge and industry experience to provide clients with the most accurate estimates during the preconstruction phase. Ted has a B.S. in Construction Management from the University of Cincinnati.
