ULI / UC Development Competition Presentations and Happy Hour
ULI Cincinnati has collaborated with the UC Real Estate Center and Niehoff Studio to create a local equivalent of the annual ULI Hines Competition in order to increase the accessibility and visibility of ULI with the younger generation, build student connections with industry mentors, and collaborate with a local community organization and the University of Cincinnati to promote active participation in the acclaimed Hines Competition. This hands-on, real-world experience for students will foster their understanding of the inter-disciplinary collaboration required to be competitive in the business world. The case study-based program with several weeks of instruction, provides students with knowledge and information to compete. The competition centers on creating a feasible development plan for a local site under consideration for redevelopment. This year the competition will focus on the Bond Hill Business District.
To help students prepare for the final presentations on December 4, local industry leaders will provide mentoring with respect to finance, site planning, design and construction.
Join us on December 4 for the final presentations and immediately afterwards for refreshments and a chance to connect with those involved with this year’s competition. The winning team and the presentation of the $5,000 prize will be announced during the happy hour.
Note that members of ULI are invited and encouraged to sit in on any of the presentations, beginning at 1:00 PM and lasting until just prior to the Happy Hour.
There is no charge to ULI members. Visit our website for more information about the competition.
