City of Cincinnati Recently Established New Department of Building and Inspections

The City of Cincinnati recently established a new Department of Buildings and Inspections, and it is reconfiguring its building permit and code enforcement processes to substantially improve permit delivery, customer satisfaction, and quality of life in the city.  The City is seeking an accomplished leader to serve as the Director of the department to guide the agency through this reconfiguration and oversee the operation of this important government function.  In addition, the City is seeking a knowledgeable, self-starter to establish and oversee the zoning administration function of the new department. … Read More

Carter names local real estate veteran as Banks project executive

For the first time since the start of the Banks project in April 2008, the project’s lead developer named a local project executive to oversee the development. Carter, which serves as master developer for the Banks, named Dan McCarthy as project executive of Cincinnati’s largest mixed-use development. McCarthy has more than a decade of experience in project and construction management. AIA Cincinnati Hosts dunnhumby Tour

The AIA Urban Design Committee in conjunction with Cincinnati APA Section and ASLA Ohio Chapter will be providing a tour of the dunnhumby building on April 8, 2015. The tour begins at 5:30 PM at the corner of 6th and Race Streets in downtown Cincinnati. UC Graduate students enter Hines Competition 2015

ULI Cincinnati recently mentored a University of Cincinnati graduate team entry in the ULI Hines Competition, the Urban Land Institute’s national and highly competitive urban design/development challenge. Student teams comprising at least three disciplines are given two weeks to devise a comprehensive design and development program for a real, large-scale site full of challenges and opportunities.
